Project: Dong Energy are the leading partners in the construction and operation phases of the Walney Offshore Wind farm project,  located approximately 15km from the coastline of Walney Island covering an area of approximately 73km2. The wind farm will consist of 51 turbines.

Dong Energy required office accommodation to accommodate their staff on shore at Barrow in Furness.

Solution: A two storey modular building system was proposed and keeping the environmental benefits in mind, Modular and Portable Buildings re-cycled an existing building. As well as tailoring the building to meet with Dong Energy’s specific requirements, all new internal fixtures and fittings were added.

Following a successful installation and handover Dong Energy soon required more space and the building has since been extended.
