Project: The London Array offshore wind farm will be built around 20km off the coasts of Kent and Essex. The wind farm will be installed on a 245km2 site and will be built in two phases. Once completed it will be the world’s largest offshore wind farm.

The company required a base for the wind farm’s construction team at the Port of Ramsgate.

Solution: Following a comprehensive tendering process Modular & Portable Buildings were chosen to supply and install a two storey, recycled Portakabin Duplex building consisting of 22 modular sections giving a total floor area of 633m2 

Facilities include a reception area, single and open plan offices, internal and external staircases, male, female, disabled toilets, and a kitchen area.

The building was installed and erected over a two-day period.

The building is a highly sustainable construction solution as it is constructed from pre-owned modules.
